NL gyms really need weather! Or at least Rock. Jacen started off behind with TTar being OHKO'd first turn but turned it around for most of the match with a Pain Split from Cradily and some sand chipping + mlouden's Life Orb recoils. However, once sand ran out, Jacen's mons couldn't live the special hits anymore.

Randoms! Oh man, this match. Stantler 1v1'd Swampert and won because it got 4 flinches. They both got free KOs with things that were quad weak to each other's stab. Poor Slaking is not very useful with the new HMs unfortunately, and besides Protecting every other turn, Thunder missed a few times in Chainy's attmept to speed the 3HKO up. And then the last Water-type match-up was a slog because Chainy forgot Toxic was a thing, but with Wrap damage and a Competitive boost, he made it.

Tier restriction battle! They only used things from D and E on the tier list. It was a fun battle. Butterfree was the star of the show, putting things to sleep and then Quiver Dancing and Baton Passing around (that was the theme of Ash's team mostly). There was some attract hax also, and then an Encore speed tie that Ash's lost. But Ricktor wasn't quite able to 2HKO Ribombee, so Ash claimed victory.

No-calc Randoms! It was fairly even until about the third Pokemon, when Viper used Dragon Dance with Lapras. That allowed Ribombee to Quiver and then pass it off. Then, Julio rolled a bunch of ghosts that chipped away and burned Viper's team to death.

Randoms! Hawlucha chipped a few mons by U-turning out, but it was Eel's bulk that KO'd a lot of Viper's mons. And then Lapras v Lapas lasted a while, but Hawlucha finished the rest.

Tier list! Using D + E rank only. Was a very fun match. Three different weather users. Ninetales actually put in a lot of work for Chainy early on but eventually got walled by Octillery. Moody didn't quite have the exact rises for sweeping, unfortunately, and Chainy gained even more traction from that. Shell Smash Gorebyss almost brought it back, but sun was still up so Chainy was able to use Chlorophyll to outspeed and KO when Gorebyss failed two Protects in a row.
