URPG PokeJobs
Welcome to PokeJobs! Like in Sword/Shield, you can send your URPG Pokemon out on Jobs, and with enough supportive activity on your end, they can come back with new friends and useful rewards!
How It Works
Each week, 4 Jobs will be offered at the beginning of the week: Simple, Medium, Hard, Complex/Demanding. You buy into a job and send Pokemon out to do the job, and they come back with rewards. Simple and Medium Jobs will only require 1 week to complete, while Hard+ will require 2 weeks. Completing a job will earn you a random non-Mart, non-berry store Pokemon from the rank you accomplish it at. You can only be working on one job at a time.
Each Job requires a certain amount of Pokemon to be sent on them:
Simple: 2 Pokemon
Medium: 3 Pokemon
Hard: 4 Pokemon
Complex/Demanding: 5 Pokemon
You can send any Pokemon in your stats on a Job except temporary ones (for example, temporary legends).
NOTE: For anyone whose starter was requested in the past 6 months, you need only send 1 Pokemon per job! Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis -- please reach out to a Game Design member if you feel like you should qualify for this exception.
While Pokemon are on a Job, they may not be used for any new URPG activities. They can't be used in any new contests, battles, etc. that start after the sign-up period ends, though they may remain on activities started before the sign-up period closes. Morphic Pokemon do not lose access to forms linked to Pokemon sent on Jobs, either. Pokemon in Park runs that started before the job are not affected also, and can be sent out on Jobs while on en existing run.
To "complete" a job, you will need to participate in a variety of URPG sections. What you need to do and how much depends on the rank difficulty of the job you're taking -- each one has a similar but different set of requirements. See the "PokeJob Tasks" section to view the requirements for each rank.
PokeJob Fees
When taking on a Job, you pay an up-front fee.
Simple: $6,000
Medium: $9,000
Hard: $12,000
Complex/Demanding: $18,000
NOTE: When you buy into a Complex/Demanding Job, you have flexibility and will only need to specify in your job thread which Rank you want. If you make it to Complex, but have Demanding written, you will receive a Complex; if you make it to a Demanding, but have a Complex written, you will receive a Complex and extra cash. Make sure to update it to whatever you truly want (and have the reqs for) before Sunday Night when the jobs end!

Completed PokeJob Rewards
Once you've completed the Job you took on, the following rewards will be rolled for you at the end of the period (Please see the PokeJobs Board for more information on timing for PokeJobs):
A randomly-rolled, non-Mart, non-berry Pokemon of that rank
A cash reward equal to 1/3rd of the fee for the rank of the job you cash out in
A choice between five Rare Candies or a Mart voucher worth $2,500 (For Hard+ Jobs), and three Rare Candies or a Mart Voucher worth $1,500 (For Simple/Medium Jobs).
Up to 1 randomly rolled items for a Simple Job, 2 randomly rolled items for a Medium Job, or 3 for Hard+ Jobs.
Note: You will not receive a duplicate of any Pokemon you obtain from PokeJobs until you have obtained every available Pokemon at that rank from Jobs. For example, this means that the maximum amount of time it will take to obtain every Demanding is 5 months (11 mon x 2 weeks = 22 weeks).
You will also receive additional money for any extra job requirements met. For each unique profession or section requirement done outside of the requirements for the Pokemon rank you have chosen, you will earn an additional $1,500 for Simple Jobs, $2,000 for Medium Jobs, and $4,000 for Hard+ jobs on top of the usual rewards.
Example: I send my Pokemon on a Simple Job, which requires me to complete only one requirement. I referee a battle, which I count to complete my job, and do two curations, and submit a story. I receive a total bonus of $4,000 in cash -- $2,000 for curating, and $2,000 for submitting a story.
Item slot rewards will be randomly rolled from the below list:
If you do not reach the requirements for a job you buy into, you may redeem your Job for anything you reach the requirements for.
Example: If you buy a Hard job but only meet Medium requirements after 2 weeks, you may claim the medium instead.
Additionally, if you purchase a Hard+ Job, and decide after one week you only want a medium (or you want to try for a higher level, or you want the Pokemon you sent out back), you may claim the lower rank as long as you have reached the requirements for it. Extra money spent will not be refunded.
Notes: Cashing out at lower ranks means you apply your reqs to the lower rank. (So if I cash out my medium Job at Simple, I only need to have 1 of the Simple requirements completed to earn the Simple mon).
A Job (at any rank) must be completed to earn any rewards. If you shift a job down, that's fine, but if you don't pass simple you will earn no rewards.
Moving down in rewards shifts the whole reward down. Item slots lock in on the job you sent the mons on, but you can only earn as much as the job you cash out on allows.
As an example of cashing out early, say I send 5 Dragons on a Dragon Demanding Job, but after one week decide to cash out at simple with 1 Simple Req completed. I will only get 2k back for my base reward, + Rare Candies and a Simple mon. I will also get a random item. (only one because I cashed out at Simple, which only allows one Item slots).
Basics and PokeJobs
Basics are getting a whole lot easier, for those of you who don't want to do battles to evolve them! Basics sent on Simple/Medium Jobs will come back with 1 stage worth of EXP; Hard+ jobs will award 2 stages of EXP. (e.g. if a Squirtle is sent on a Simple/Medium job it will come back with enough EXP to become a Wartortle; if it is sent on a Hard+ Job it will come back with enough EXP to become a Blastoise). Of course, you need not evolve the Pokemon if you do not want to, as usual. This does not override any EXP that can still be used already on a Pokemon (So if you send a Charmander with 4 EXP on a Simple job, it will come back with 9 EXP; however, for single stagers, it will always come back with 7 EXP).
Getting Started & Tracking Your Jobs
To begin, fill out the form in the PokeJobs Board. The fee purchase doesn't need to be approved, but it must be posted in that thread to start a job.
To track their PokeJobs, each person must make their own stats thread in the PokeJobs Trainer Stats subforum to track their jobs. In the opening post of this thread, you should track all of the Pokemon you've earned from PokeJobs.
Note: Logs must be updated by the end deadline (Sunday 11:59PM CST). If you think you might have trouble updating your thread (job, illness, travel, etc) please let a staff member know and they will edit it for you.
You can use this template:
Code:
[b]Pokemon Claimed from PokeJobs[/b]:
[u]Simple:[/u]
[u]Medium:[/u]
[u]Hard:[/u]
[u]Complex:[/u]
[u]Demanding:[/u]
From then on, each new job must be posted in a new post in that thread. This is to make it easier for staff to see who needs rewards rolled at the end of the week.
Use this template to track each PokeJob:
Code:
[b]Link to Fee (post Fee in the Board)[/b]:
[b]Current Job (include Rank and Type)[/b]:
[b]Pokemon Sent[/b]:
[b]Progress[/b]:
[indent][u]Battles: [/u]
[u]Contests: [/u]
[u]Park: [/u]
[u]Morphic: [/u]
[u]Art: [/u]
[u]Stories: [/u]
Just letting y'all know about some changes from the original posts. All boards will be updated shortly after this post is made.
Signups have been extended by a day to allow people to use their previous week payout to sign up again. This means Signups for a week start on Friday, and end on Monday night, while previous jobs end Sunday night.
Complex/Demanding tweaks:
Complex and Demanding Jobs will be fully merged, both using Complex's Requirements and Demanding's price. The only change to reqs will be to sketchbook/journal, changing to 9 but allowing for a streak.
Demanding Jobs will require 5 requirements completed instead of 4.
When you buy into these jobs, you will buy into a Complex/Demanding Job, meaning you have flexibility and will only need to specify in your job thread which Rank you want. If you make it to Complex, but have Demanding written, you will receive a Complex; if you make it to a Demanding, but have a Complex written, you will receive a Complex and extra cash. Make sure to update it to whatever you truly want (and have the reqs for) before Sunday Night when the jobs end!
We're being more explicit that logs must be updated by the end deadline, especially in relation to the above Complex/Demanding Changes. If you think you might have trouble updating your thread (job, illness, travel, etc) please let a staff member know and they will edit it for you.
Cashing out at lower ranks means you apply your reqs to the lower rank. (So if I cash out my medium Job at Simple, I only need to have 1 of the Simple requirements completed to earn the Simple mon).
We're also being more explicit that a Job (at any rank) must be completed to earn any rewards. If you shift a job down, that's fine, but if you don't pass simple you will earn no rewards.
Be more explicit that moving down in rewards shifts the whole reward down.
I will also get 2 random items for matching the type. (only two because I cashed out at Simple, which only allows two Item slots).
Creative Section Testing now counts for the Section Staff member who administers the test.
Of course, you need not evolve the Pokemon if you do not want to, as usual.
to compensate for the above (and the huge value that jobs offer), Medium/Simple jobs will only give 3 Rare Candies (or a 1.5k Mart Voucher) instead of 5.

Another small update. Goes into effect immediately.
Also, it has been implied, but this is to make it official. We think PokeJobs are in a good spot, and thank everyone who took part in the Beta. PokeJobs will be continuing after the Beta, and everyone can apply for the new jobs that are posted until Monday night! Thanks everyone for making this a success so far, and good luck to everyone as we move forward!
Changes:
-For Art/Stories, you can now mix and match. 1 posted piece will now count once for 3 Sketchbook/Journal entries. So for example, I could submit one piece and 3 sketches for my Art requirement for Hard.
-Arbiter is getting a similar change. Instead of 4 of one type of post, you may now mix and match types of arbitration posts to meet your requirement.
-Park and Rangering are moving down in requirements. The values will now be 1/1/2/3 posts for each job, from Simple to Complex/Demanding respectively.
Make sure to get those requirements done and updated in your logs before Sunday night! See you all then for some fun rolling!
