So, Axion was after Togedemaru. San thought of his own Togedemaru back home; it was cute, that was for sure, and definitely hard to come by. Hopefully they'd be able to find one in their run today; something the Voice Disk was certain to help with. Metagross started heading down a corridor; San called ahead to it, "Metagross, you'll wanna hang a left here, we're gonna hit the generator room first. Axion, best to be on your guard in the room ahead; it's a nest for all the Steel and Electric types here, and while I don't expect much trouble, it's better to be prepared." San also turned to Connie, squatting down to pat her on her golden head. "Be sure to be on the lookout for stray bolts like last time, ok girl?" Ahead, two large, white insulated doors loomed, the entrance-way to the generator room. "After you, Axion," San said, and they pushed the doors wide open.

The generator room was massive; massive pylons around the room, with spaces for Electrodes and Raichus to feed them power, connected to a large generator with an electric turbine in the center of the room. Metal bridgeways once allowed humans to walk around the entire generator and near the pylons, letting the plant operate as power for the other structures on the island, like the Radio tower and palace; however, once the energy crisis was resolved, the need for rustic plants with inhumane (in-Pokem-ane?) methods died out, and eventually the island was bought by the Orange Islands government to be turned into the National Park. What this meant for the party, however, was that it was dusty, and that the walkways were rusted out and nearly unusable; they'd need to be careful as they walked through, and more than likely use the stone ground below to traverse the generator room.

There was a ladder to said stone floor a short distance from the entrance to the generator room, and San motioned Connie, Axion and Metagross to it so they could avoid staying on the metal walkways; he could already feel them creaking and twisting under their weight. Right as Axion was about to reach the ladder, however, something rolled out near him; and what looked to be an oversized Pokeball bumped right into Axion. "Oh shoot, watch out-" San began to cry, as the Electrode released a small spark of energy. Connie was way ahead of San though; it already put itself between the trainer and the Electrode as the bolt shot out, and absorbed into Connie's spiky mane. Connie began growling as Axion turned to face their new threat, Metagross nearby and ready to jump in as well.

"Metagross, you'll wanna hang a left here, we're gonna hit the generator room first. Axion, best to be on your guard in the room ahead; it's a nest for all the Steel and Electric types here, and while I don't expect much trouble, it's better to be prepared." Axion heard the advice as Metagross seemed to be on the verge of making a decision on which direction to go - the intersection gave both left and right hallways, both ending in double doors. As Axion followed Metagross' suggested trajectory, he noticed old posters, many of which were either burned, shredded, or simply gone, leaving only a slightly lighter spot on the wall. Most of what could still be read seemed to be implying the required safety gear for the upcoming room, though the shelves had been bare far too long, and empty hooks adorned the walls closest to the generator entrance. Axion squeezed around his monstrous steel companion in order to grab the handle on one door an immediately felt the weight. He saw San take the other, and they entered the heart of the facility.

They came out on the upper floor, the rusty walkways allowing for limited mobility without descending to the dusty stone floor beneath. Even with next to no wind, what remained of the upper "floor" swayed with a gentle life of its own, making the structural dangers more apparent. Even taking one step on to the bar grating gave Axion a sense of dread, as he was unsure how secure they would be. "Metagross, you might want to float up here, I don't think the steel can hold you. Metagross' affirmation was muffled as it resonated with the chirping of the Togedemaru voice disk as the large pokemon raised its legs effortlessly off the ground and floated, looking almost like a UFO in its unaerodynamic configuration.

As Axion neared a ladder, San ,motioned to descend. However, before even placing his foot on the first rung he felt a gentle bump. Metagross, could you bac.." his statement ending as he realized his pokemon was a few feet away and stationary. He turned around to find a rather large, inverted pokeball rolling away from him. What was now seen as a wild pokemon had sharp angular eyes and a bright, white-hot smile. Connie, faster than Axion could register, launched itself in front of the Electrode as it shot a spark of greeting towards the unsuspecting trainer, and he quickly thanked Connie before stepping away from the ladder. "Well, its not the right metallic ball pokemon, but it could definitely fit in with the rest of the crew. Metagross, you want to play with your not-quite-steel brethren?" A silent nod as the voice disk stopped playing; While Metagross had the mental capacity to play it while battling, both trainer and pokemon agreed it would be pointless among the scuffle of a pokemon battle. "lets start off with confusion, then use scary face." He hoped the moves in quick succession would have a nice effect, as he knew electrodes tended to attack at range and a little mental mindfuckery never hurt. He also didn't wnat to brute force another encounter against an electric type.

San could feel the mental processing power of the Metagross as it hurtled the Confusion towards the Pokeball, which had full attention on Axion for some reason. The Psychic attack seemed to slick right off of Electrode however, as if its large round body just wicked it off like butter. However, then came the Scary Face. Metagross put itself right in front of Electrode, hurling the meanest, most hostile face one could imagine. It seemed to have an effect; large, brilliantly bright white smile was lost for a few moments as Electrode registered the new target, and it seemed visibly shaken.

Electrode recovered shortly after though, and immediately let out a wave of magnetic energy. Metagross came crashing down into the metal grating, unable to hold a Magnet Rise while the magnetic forces pulled it down. Metagross was able to pick itself back up on its legs, however, and luckily enough the grating held firm for now. Brilliant flashes of yellow light let loose from the Electrode as it maintained the magnetic flux, and then it stopped and flashed it's devilish white smile again... right back into the Metagross Scary Face, now complete with spider legs. Electrode nearly howled as it let off a burst of electricity at Metagross, which finally hit it hard enough to end the Scary Face. However, the bubble of electricity also zapped the nearby guardrails clean off, as well as leaving char marks right beneath where Electrode was idling.

San was very visibly worried about the metal creaking and cracking under the pressure of the fight, and solidly hoped Axion could either end it swiftly or get down safely; San had his hands on Connie and Robin's Pokeballs to make sure he'd be able to at least catch himself and hopefully Axion, but he hoped it wouldn't come to that. On the bright side, the electric flash from Electrode seemed to scare off other Pokemon, so they wouldn't have to worry about any intruders, specifically Poison Pokemon. San held his breath just a little, as did Connie, as they prepared for what came next.

The air was filled with mental energy as the supercomputer of a pokemon began its telekinetic assault. Axion saw electrode, spherical and slippery as it was, bounce back somewhat from the initial barrage. However, the pokemon soon regained its balance, constantly rolling forward to counter the psychic energies hurled its way. Metagross continued, but saw little forward progress against the somehow not steel-type pokemon. As Metagross finally ended its psychic assault, it bared its sharp teeth, widened its eyes, and let out a blood-curdling roar as its scary face attack took effect against its opponent; Electrode’s pearly whites quickly went from its dashing smile to one of utter fear. It seemed to panic, releasing a wave of electrical energy that severed the gravitational fluctuations Metagross had been using to levitate, causing the heavy steel mass of a sentient pokemon to crash down on the rickety steel grating the party had been traversing.

Axion felt the sudden impact reverberate along the length of the grating, likely weakening much of what was left of its structural integrity. He palmed another pokeball, not for battle but for an emergency escape plan. He questioned his survival rate if Metagross & Electrode took down this grating with him still on it. He noticed San & Connie were farther back, likely trying to stay off the unstable surface. A precaution he should have considered, but now was not the time for reflection.

Metagross, struggling against the magnetic field the grating was emanating, finally found its legs and stood, spider like, on the metal surface, its scary face still in effect despite its difficulties. Growling menacingly at the Electrode, its strode forward slowly, shaking the walkway with each ponderous step. Its combatant released a shrill queal, and sent a jolt of electricity at Metagross, momentarily stunning it long enough to end the hideous facial display. Some of the electricity bounced off however, and managed to dislodge much of the safety handrails off the railway, and scorching a few locations around electrode. It seemed to teeter for a minute as it erratically rolled around to avoid its own attack backfiring.

Axion felt another shudder as the energy sparked across it, the walkway groaning more by the minute. Finally deciding it was getting a bit risky for his liking, he threw out a pokeball and a bug pokemon, momentarily surprised at its airborne location, flew towards him with an inquisitive look. “Scizor, I usually hate to ask, but it seems the way down is blocked by a certain spherical opponent” he said, pointing to the electrode blocking what appeared to be a rusty ladder on the side of the concrete wall. He nimbly hopped over to Scizor’s back, seating himself on the pokemon’s metallic abdomen. While it provided little cushion, it worked for the seconds it took for Scizor to gently descend to the ground. Stepping down, Axion pointed up to Metagross. “Alright Meta, time to bring down the house. Use Hammer arm on the grating to bring both yourself an Electrode down here. Then use Grass knot as a snare, get some of the stray weeds down here to hold him down, maybe ground out a bit of that electricity. And once he’s tied up, use Zen Headbutt to knock him around a bit. See if we can’t get him knocked down a peg for stopping a nice casual stroll.”

Axion wasn’t sure where San was, but he did not seem him fall as Metagross used its front two legs to ram the walkway. Hard. The ringing of metal reverberated as multiple mounting brackets buckled, finally giving way for the platform to crash to the floor in a cacophany of clangs and bent steel. The trainer could see Electrode spinning wildly, no ground to make purchase on for a clear orientation. It too landed shortly thereafter as a cloud of dust was dissipating. As Axion watched, nearby plant life that had forced its way through the unforgiving building slowly started to move with a life of their own towards the flailing pokeball.

(OOC: Loved your post fam, it was pretty amazing and I'm really proud of how you've developed as a writer in the Park.)

San could already tell exactly what Axion was going to do when Scizor came out of its Pokeball. Metagross was going to bring down the whole structure; San thought it was a good idea, especially since it would probably fall soon anyways, but now he needed to formulate his own getaway plan. San saw Metagross bring one large arm upwards after Axion called out the commands from Scizor's back, and he threw a pokeball downwards as he recalled Connie simultaneously. Out popped Jawsmine the Garchomp, her cute shrill cry quickly masked by the smashing of Metagross's fist into the iron structure. Down it went, and San jumped the railing to land in Jawsmine's outstretched claws.

A Garchomp is actually a lot more comfortable than one would think, as long as you don't land on the spikes, or the teeth, or the myriad other dangerous places. San felt the rubbery skin of Jawsmine catching him, as he saw the grating fall, and Axion's slow descent. However, this wasn't the only plan Axion had; San saw the grass shoots, barely struggling to stay alive in the damp dark power room, moving with Metagross's call towards the falling Electrode. It hadn't been as smart as the others, blissfully unaware in its own gloating over stopping the Scary Face, and had been caught completely off guard when Metagross dropped the hammer. However, a tumbling Electrode can see on all sides, and it saw the Grass Knot coming before it got close. Purple, almost liquid energy surrounded the small ball, similar to when Confusion slicked off it earlier; the Grass Knot parted off it and around it, unable to find a solid grip and unfortunately slowing Electrode on its way to the concrete flooring. San could already see the huge grin on Electrode's face, proud as it was to once again outsmart the Metagross.

At least, until the Metagross slammed its face into Electrode from behind. The Zen headbutt aligned perfectly; even though Grass Knot didn't work as intended, it did hold Electrode still while Metagross careened after them, and lined up the shot. Electrode was pounded into the ground, leaving a large round hole in the concrete as Metagross collapsed on top of it. The psychic energy soon wore off, and Metagross backed up off Electrode as it rolled out from under the weight of the behemoth. San was surprised Electrode was still conscious and in one piece; but Electrode managed to regain its bearings, grin lost in the rage welling up inside it. The whole room seemed to darken as sparks flew around Electrode; then bolts of thunder erupted around it in a storm, arcing every which way. Electrode had lost control; it wasn't aiming anymore, just letting off steam, and Axion would have to deal with it soon before they got zapped.

Metagross, Electrode, and rickety grate that had been holding them suspended in the air came falling down, metallic clangs reverberating everywhere. They momentarily hurt Axion’s ears, but he shook it off as Scizor touched down on the dusty concrete floor. Axion, too focused on the air ballet in front of him, idly pressed the return button on Scizor’s pokeball, preventing him from any collateral damage possible in the ensuing battle. Electrode was spinning wildly as it fell, both trying to right itself while taking in the view. Axion felt a ;ight touch at his feet; looking down, he saw a vine dragging itself out from the thin concrete cracks and moving towards where the electric ball had just landed, a cloud of age-old dust puffing up in a cloud surrounding the landing point.

Electrode, composed enough to react, began a slow spin, creating a fresh protective barrier against the wave of sentient plant life crawling towards it. None managed to find purchase, but created a nest. The nest held the spherical pokemon in place just long enough for a fresh sound to echo through the long abandoned generator room: That of a distinct ping of metal bashing against metal. Metagross’ forehead impacted with electrodes and let out the single tone, like a tuning fork in a concert hall. It rattled Axion’s teeth, making him move his jaw to stop the incessant annoyance.

Electrode, shaking off the impact of the heavyset supercomputer, lost its smile. Its eyes widened, and the line of a mouth turned its edges down. A metallic roar echoed through the hall as sparks began to shoot from the enraged pokemon’s form. With no control, the sparks were flying everywhere, catching on anything metallic in the pokemon’s vicinity. Some came rather close to Axion, which made him hop backwards. [i]Have to find a way to keep myself from getting shocked… San is fine with Connie, perhaps its time to make my own lightning rod…[i/] And with that, Jolteon had offered him up a plan.

Metagross, use psychic to grab onto the largest piece of metal grating and hold it close to electrode, hopefully it will keep the sparks away from you. Then, use agility to dodge whats left and give electrode a knock on the back of his… head?... with hammer arm. See if you can’t knock some sense back in to him so he doesn’t murder us all.”

The grating, which had previously kept them all from falling but was now a steisted piece of wreckage decorating the floor, found itself airborne again and moving towards Electrode. Finding itself within arm’s reach it was suddenly thrust into the ground, sparks latching on to it and creating a wondrous light show as the electricity jumped between grating rungs and slowly worked its way down to the floor. Behind electrode Axion saw only a blue blur as his pokemon’s large blue front mandible came in with incredible speed for a fresh whack at Electrode.
